Powering the front-wheel drive ES is a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 272 horsepower. While is not a performance vehicle, most testers liked the smooth engine and solid acceleration. The ES averages 19/27 mpg city/highway, which is about average for the class. The 2009 ES 350’s cabin garnered high praise from critics for its use of premium materials, comfortable, spacious seats in both the front and rear and its quiet, isolated cabin. They also liked its easy-to-use electronics. In its trunk, the ES 350 can carry up to 14.7 cubic feet of cargo, which is a competitive size. The ES comes standard with leather seats with 10-way front power adjustment, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, a power sunroof and an eight-speaker stereo with auxiliary input.
